Wineries

Paso Robles is a world class wine region and is home to more than 300 wineries! Each winery has its unique taste and aroma that no other winery. The wine tasting is one thing, the stories that lie behind each winery is what truly makes them special. This section was very hard for me to narrow down, there are so many wineries to choose from. I have deiced to update this monthly, for now here are some (not all) of my favorite ones!

Eberle Winery

Located at 3810 CA-46 East Eberle was founded more than 41 years ago by Gary Eberle. He is referred to as the Pioneer of Paso Robles, the “Godfather” and was one of the original three pioneers who created the Paso Robles AVA. Today, Eberle is one of the highest award-winning wineries in the U.S. and ranks in the top 10 of gold medal award-winning wineries in the country.

 

They offer complimentary tasting of 5 wines on their Vineyard Deck, there is a $10 reservation fee but it will be applied towards your wine bottle purchase upon checkout. You can easily make a reservation by visiting their website.

Dilécta

Located at 7970 Vineyard Drive in Paso Robles Dilécata is a highly acclaimed boutique winery specializing in Rhône and Bordeaux varietals.

 

Tasting fee is $25.00 per person.

Alta Colina

Alta Colina is a family owned winery located at 2825 Adelaida Rd in Paso Robles they offer three different tastings; Tasting Room flight, Cellar Door tasting, and the Summit Vineyard tasting. Reservations can be made online walk ins are welcome on a first come, first served basis. Alta Colina is best known for their organically grown Rhône wines.

Calcareous Vineyard

Located at 3430 Peachy Canyon Road in Paso Robles at 1, 500 feet above the Salinas Valley Calcareous provides an unbelievable wine tasting experience. From their award-winning wines, breathtaking 180-degree views, and their beautiful outdoor picnic area.

 

Reservations can be made online, tasting fee is $25 per person.

Sixmilebridge

Located at 5120 Peachy Canyon Road in Paso Robles Sixmilebridge opened its doors June 2020. Taste their delicious wines on the beautiful outdoor patio or on their deck under a large oak tree. Best known for their estate grown Cabernet Sauvignon and Bordeaux-style blends.

 

Reservations can be made online, tasting fee is $30 per person.

Family Friendly Wineries

Cass Winery

“French DNA, Paso personality” Located off of Linne Road in the Geneseo District Cass Winery is a family friendly wine tasting experience unlike any other. Rolling hills, massive oak trees, world class wine, and award winning cuisine, yes please!

 

Reservations can be made online, tasting fees are $20 or $30 per person.

Bianchi Winery and Tasting Room

Located off of highway 46 East on Branch Road the Bianchi tasting room is the fulfillment of Glenn Bianchi's dream to provide a great sensory experience for visitors. The sweeping vineyard, coastal mountain views, and serene Koi Pond, coupled with inspired wines, offer a complete wine country experience.

 

For patio tastings they offer a rotating menu of 5 wines $15 per guest. Visit their website or call to make a reservation.

Two Wine Cups

Dark Star

Dark Star is a rustic working winery and vineyard, just off highway 46 West on Anderson Road. Their spacious three thousand square foot tasting area includes an indoor bar with seating, an outdoor covered patio with picnic seating and vineyard views. You can enjoy a regular tasting, or wine by the glass to compliment your own picnic. Founded in 1994, recently their wines have collected twenty-five awards, including ten 90 – plus point gold medals.  

 

Dark Star is famous for its laid back, comfortable, family and pet friendly atmosphere. While visiting the winery you can also enjoy a game of corn hole, axe throwing, or just hang out with the winery cats and chickens.

 

Their tasting fee is $15 per per person.

Four Lanters

Located off Highway 46 West Four Lanterns sits on a historic vineyard on the west side of Paso Robles. It was established in 2013 by Jackie and Steve Gleason. Jackie and Steve decided to leave the corporate life behind them and moved their four daughters from Southern California to Paso Robles to open Four Lanterns Winery.

 

Their daughters inspired the winery’s name and designed the initial labels along with Steve. Their wines are some of the best kept secrets on the Central Coast balanced, elegant and critically acclaimed.

 

Only $15 a tasting stop by to enjoy their beautiful spacious outdoor patio. Picnics, kids and pets are welcome!
